A prayer for this moment
Jesus, even the quiet felt tense today, like something was about to go wrong. Teach me contentment with what I have right now, in this room, in this moment. You said You will never leave me or forsake me. Let that promise settle into my shoulders and my breathing. Amen.
Even silence felt tense. Your body stayed alert long after everyone left. Peaceful soaking worship for hypervigilance, emotional exhaustion, nervous-system decompression, and quiet nighttime recovery. Some nights your nervous system keeps listening even after the building gets quiet. The hallway empties. The fluorescent lights soften. Nobody needs anything anymore.
