A prayer for this moment
God, I never fully clock off. My mind keeps working. You are my strength. Make my feet like the deer's and set me on high places. Let me rest knowing You carry what I put down. Amen.
Even after everyone was finally okay, your body stayed on duty. The hallway. The phone. The next interruption. Part of your body kept listening for what might still need you. Not because someone asked. Your nervous system just never fully clocked off. Being reachable became who you were. “Yahweh, the Lord, is my strength. He makes my feet like deer's feet, and enables me to go in high places.” — Habakkuk 3:19 (WEB)
