1 Peter 5:7 · WEB
A prayer for this moment
Jesus, my hand stopped short of the list. Some things I just can't face today. You care for me. I give You every worry on that list and the ones I didn't write down. Amen.
Listen
Your hand stopped short of the list. Not because it was done. Not because you decided to leave it. For one moment, your arm stopped reaching for something that never got shorter. Your hand stopped short of the list. It had been going toward it all week. Reaching had become automatic. The glance at the seat. The half-reach. The line you were going to cross off tonight.
